Bugatti 35 was undoubtedly the greatest car racing sensation of the 1920s. Only a few connoisseurs of this car brand know about the large number of different modifications of this model. Among these experts, perhaps the greatest authority is Hugh Conway, longtime member of the British Bugatti club. His publications about the Bugatti company and its cars, from which and for this book were also taken information, are considered by specialists in this field as the most reliable sources.

Type history 35 started in 1924 year, when a completely new chassis was prepared for the Grand Prix of France, equipped with a two-liter, eight cylinder engine (0 60 x 88 mm) from the model 30. This chassis has proven itself enough, that it has not been changed for many years. However, different engines were installed and the designation of individual models was changed accordingly. W 1926 year by extending the piston stroke to 100 mm, a new engine with a capacity of 2,3 liter. Cars with this engine were marked with the symbol 35T. The letter T stood for "Targa”, because this model was intended for the race “Targa Florio”. These professions, with the applicable free formula, won in 1926 the year of Constantini, driving this particular model. Type 35 T, improved in the same year by adding a compressor, was originally designated 35 TC, and then in the company's catalogs it was referred to as a symbol 35 B. Due to the current formula limiting the capacity to 1,5 liter type 35 B was used in the years 1926-1930 only in professions based on a free formula. The Model B won the San Sebastian Grand Prix in Spain for the first time in 1927 year, led by Ernesto Materassi. The following year, Louis Chiron was recognized as the best rider to ride the Bugatti, which is leading model 35 B won the Rome Grand Prix and the Marne Grand Prix, and driving a two-liter version 35 B marked with the symbol 35 C, he also won the Italian and Spanish Grand Prix. A year later, at the wheel of a Bugatti 35 B flashed Williams, who shared with Chiron (a driving model 35 C) victories in most major Grand Prix races. The volume of this book does not cover all the victories of Bugatti cars. For they were from 1911 do 1945 over two thousand years.
