After returning to the country, we have to pay, among others. excise duties. Before we do that, however, we must inform you whether the car came on its own or on a tow truck. If the latter, we must know the registration number of the tow truck as well as the name of its owner and its address.

Until 14 days from date bring the car the fact of importing the vehicle should be reported to the Customs Office. Do 30 days, while we have time to settle the due amount importing an excise duty car.

Excise duty rate from used cars imported from abroad, that is, in this case from Germany it is 3,1 percent on the value of the vehicle for cars with an engine capacity of up to 2000 cm3. Used cars with higher capacity are included in the rate excise duties at the level 18,6 percentage of the car's value.

Used car value counted as needed excise duties is taken from the contract, however, the possibility of verification of this value by the customs office should be taken into account. To get VAT refund for a car imported from Germany one should report to the Tax Office and submit an appropriate application for VAT exemption there. Therefore, we must complete and submit the VAT-24 form and then pay it 160 PLN. Then we will receive a VAT-25 form. These activities can be arranged for us by an attorney, however, it is not necessary to establish the power of attorney notarized.
