JULES GOUX (1885-1965) – French-man

Engineer at the wheel, Jules Goux jest absolwentem paryskiej School of Arts and Crafts. After graduation, he started working as a test drive driver for Peugeot, to which he was faithful until the First World War. He is the first European, who won a very difficult race 500 miles of Indianapolis in the USA in 1913 r. After Peugeot withdrew from the competition, he started driving the Ballot, which won him the finish line at the Italian Grand Prix in 1921 r. However, Goux did not catch his second breath until the wheel of a Bugatti car. W 1926 year he won the Grand Prix of France and Spain. He was still seventy years old as a technical advisor for Bugatti.
