Converting a bus into a motorhome

Beds and bunks in the motorhome, bus

The paneling is ready. I made a template, to cut them out. Making a good template is a key step in fitting panels.
The drawers were from the base of the old bed, which I found in the landfill. The lower left one has been cut, to clean the wheel well. The whole thing is screwed and glued with construction glue.
Here are the ready-made beds. have dimensions 30 on 75 cali.
Base from an old waterbedThe bed in the master bedroom is similarly constructed from the elements of an old bed. I picked up the rubber floor and fastened the bases of the drawers to the floor and to each other with construction glue and repair tiles.
The basis for framingI have cut the mattress frame to size 75″x 54″, the size of a futon mattress, which we will use, and then I filled the spaces with 2x4s and scraps of lumber 3/4 “. The back of the bed is attached to the bolt securing the rear seat with the shipping brackets, which held one of the racks of our Beowulf kit on a pallet. Hm, by "our" I mean the company, which i work for – the bus does not yet have a Beowulf kit.
Ready bed platformTrimmed the original particle board from the waterbed, to complete the platform. I'm not sure, will I attach it, or just let him sit on the frame. There is a lot of space behind the drawers, which I would also like to have access to.
Cutting the mattressLatex foam mattresses are fairly easy to cut, and the queen is approx 60 inches wide, which is exactly twice as much as each of the children's berths. I cut it in half with a serrated bread knife.
Inform friends and family, what you need, and you will be surprised, what will come your way, when you need it!My parents got a new mattress and offered us their old one for the bus.
bunks with mattressesThe two halves fit perfectly!
3-panel doorsI cut down another master bedroom door. This time it was a door wide 36 cali, so two cuts were enough, to get width 18 i 1/4 cala.
