In order to achieve the highest possible durability of the car, efforts were made to constantly improve the materials and structures with the lowest possible weight. Only in 1908 r.

Ford has come to the T, the designer of which was the engineer Harold C.. Wills. The T model was in-line, water-cooled 4-cylinder engine with a capacity 2898 cm3 i mocy 17,6 kW (24 KM) by 1800 RPM. It was equipped with a low-valve timing gear. The sparker, which is also a flywheel of the John Heinze type, it supplied electricity even at the lowest revolutions. When starting the engine with the crank, the induction coil was connected to the dry battery. Another novelty was the 2-stage, planetary gearbox built into the flywheel, operated by pedal and handbrake lever. All steel "Tin Elżbietka”, as the users called the car, it had all mechanisms with waterproof covers. The car was spacious, wide and stable while driving. The ground clearance and low weight made it possible to ride in any terrain. Technicians of the English Royal Automobile Club found during testing in 1910 r., that the weight of the car 658,3 kg is evenly distributed over both axles. The car ran in one gear from 10,8 km/h do 63 km/h.

W 1909 r. Henry Ford decided to produce only one model - the T. He eliminated artisanal work from car production and announced, that all chassis from his plants will be identical.

In the season 1909/1910 the price of the car was set at 950 dollars and sold 18 664 copies. A year later, the car cost 780 dollars and sold 34 528 pieces. As production increased, the price of the car fell constantly. W 1913 r. Ford introduced a movable assembly line. In the years 1916-1917 it was sold 785 432 cars discounted to 350 dollars. The Ford T model flooded America. W 1923 r. were produced daily 10000 pieces, a w 1927 r "when the production of this most successful Ford model was discontinued, the number of cars produced was 15 007 033 copies.

Reliability of the engine and gearbox, strength, even with mishandling, all terrain capability made Tin Lizzie a car, which Ford has motorized the whole world.
