How to check if a car is stolen

Until now, used cars bought from an advertisement or an exchange have been associated with quite a high risk.

This risk was due to the fact, that the ordinary buyer has never been able to check whether the car, who became his object of desire is not by chance wanted by the police. From June, this situation is set to change dramatically.

A special website will be launched from June ePUAP platform, on which each buyer will be able to easily check if car, he wants to buy is not accidentally stolen.

According to statistics, on average in Poland over sixteen thousand cars are stolen annually, which is a significant number and gives food for thought to a potential buyer used car.

On the platform ePUAP from June this year, it will be possible to verify the brand, among other things car, vehicle registration numbers and engine and chassis numbers. The platform will also be able to check the qualifications of the employed driver.

All this will become a reality thanks to the new rules, which allow the buyer to check the data of the previous owner of the vehicle and the correctness of the driving license data.

Using the new ePUAP platform, we will be able to confirm the vehicle brand from the registration certificate, series and number of the registration certificate, car registration number, VIN or chassis number, date of first registration, owner data and REGON number if the car was registered with the company.
