The Opel Corsa pedigree

At Opel design offices at the end of the years 60. People started thinking about introducing front-wheel drive in small cars. The first was Kadett D.. Work on the lower-end Corsa was launched at the end of the years 70. Its production was launched in 1982 r. in a newly built factory in Zaragoza (Spain). Both economical and dynamic engines (1.0,1.2 i 1.3), located transversely, as well as the chassis components were taken from the larger Kadett. Three years later, the second generation Corsa was presented, with a characteristic, lunatic bodywork, stylized according to the "biodesign" tendency. W 1997 r. three-cylinder engines with displacement were introduced 1,0 dm3. Then comes the heir; Race III.
